Pete Johnson has been a Chemistry teacher for 13 years, the last 4 as Head of Science at Stewart’s Melville College in Edinburgh. He has always had a passion for practical chemistry in the lab and has spent many years trying to find innovative ways to increase the enjoyment and wonder that children get from doing practical work.
In 2005 he set up Kitchen Chemistry in order to produce teaching material that would help both primary and secondary teachers introduce more practical and challenging work into their teaching.
